Cavachon is one of the popular god breeds that resemble the teddy bears and have easygoing character. The first dog of this breed was born when the king Charles cavalier mated with bichon fries. Their breeding resulted in a group of litter that resembled a teddy bear. Their average weight is between 10 to 20 pounds. The cavachons are actually beautiful animals.

Their most striking feature is the big beautiful eyes. These are characteristics prominent in the bichon and also king Charles cavalier. It is from the cavalier that cavachon get their long droopy ears and a coat which is silky. Blenheim is one of the colors they take, which is white having apricot patches. The next one is tri-color which can either be white, black and tan or white and black. The last one is ruby which is dark apricot having less or no white.

They got their low shed and their dander furs from bichon breeds. This is why they are better pets for homes where members get allergies on contact with fur. Their coats will range from the wavy to the curly types. In half a year, they will have silky coat which tends to grow longer in a short time.

They are supposed to be groomed at four months. Afterwards, permanent coating is achieved with the silky coat shedding naturally. At six months, they begin to have the wavy coat. They should be groomed after every three months by trimming. Trimming is to be done one time before three months at the head crown to achieve a puppy cut.

Cavachon breeds are great for those who stay in apartments or condos because they become comfortable even in small spaces like within the house. When do something as per the book. If it playtime then they do just that and when it resting time, they move to a calm areas and rest. They love to race things round the areas. Their intelligence levels are high and this makes it easy to train them. In addition, they always eager to please.
