The Egyptian mau is a breed of cat that is mostly believed to have come from ancient Egypt. For most breeds of cats, the gestation duration is from 65 to 67 days. However, for the maus, the gestation period is different as it is much longer than that of other cats. This breed has a gestation period averaging 73 days.
