Bringing Mi-Ki Puppies Into Your Home

By Lora Jones

Small dog breeds have become very popular in recent years. They are perfect for people who want the companionship of a canine friend, but may not have a lot of space for them to live in. Mi-Ki puppies fit very well into this category, and will liven up any home.

Toy breeds like the Mi-Ki are usually quite small, and frequently do not grow past ten pounds throughout their lives. This neatly takes care of the space requirement, as they simply do not need as much room as a larger dog does. They are even able to use litter boxes if properly trained, so owning one in a limited space like an apartment becomes even easier.

However, it is important not to forget that these dogs need a great deal of exercise, as they do tend to be quite happy and constantly full of energy. Walking them at least once per day will help to ensure that they stay healthy and in good shape. They love to play, too, so the more time they can get with their owner to do so, the closer the two will end up being.

Although each dog's individual temperament will be unique, Mi-Ki puppies are generally very friendly and good-natured. They get along well with other dogs and other types of pets, so it is usually not difficult to bring one into a home that may already have animals living there. They also tend to do well around children, so families with young ones can feel comfortable having them around.

Due to this breed's high level of intelligence, it is often very easy to train them. Of course, this will also depend heavily on the methods used by the trainer being consistent, always discouraging bad behaviors and encouraging good ones with praise and treats. The dogs will be very happy to do what they are told as long as they clearly understand what that is.

Records during the initial process of breeding the Mi-Ki were not always reliable or detailed, and so their exact makeup is not fully known. Many breeding and show associations do recognize them, however, and they are often able to participate in competitions. Working with them toward this goal is often extremely rewarding.

For anyone who would like to bring one of these adorable pooches into their life, there are many dedicated breeders who specialize in matching dogs with new families. Several associations support these breeders and connect them with each other, as well. Numerous ways to seek out opportunities for adoption may be found with a simple internet search.

No matter how much room you may have to adopt a new pet, Mi-Ki puppies may be able to fit in. They do not need much space in your home, but they may need a great deal of space in your heart. Seek out a breeder today and see if your new friend is already waiting for you.
