The following factors should guide you through choosing a healthy North Carolina Ragdoll kittens.

Health, consider taking the cat to a veterinary specialist who will examine the health of your cat. You can also do examinations on the cat based on its appearance of the body parts such as ears, eyes, nose hair and other parts that may contain symptoms of an unhealthy cat. By doing this, you ensure that the cat you are choosing is safe from infections and do not pose serious issues to you too.

Personality. This marks the most significant part to put into consideration in choosing a young cat. It determines how well and eases it can be domesticated with. Friendly ones are easy to play with and easy to keep around your house. Cats can be so frustrating if their personalities are weird. Their behaviors are easy to predict because the cat is either sleeping or very active. Playful cats are so enjoyable and therefore ensure these character behaviors are present before deciding on any cat.

A family is a significant object that plays important roles in shaping the personality of a cat. It teaches them on the best acceptable behaviors that may make them fit in the domestication process. Therefore, you should choose a cat that is not orphaned to ensure that they are well acquainted and to avoid future personality problems.

Early social behavior. The exposure of a cat at early development determine the behavior of a cat. Consider choosing a cat that has been reared in the house to ensure its familiarity with the home activities. When you bring it to your house, it should not fear the noises that are produced by indoor appliances. The cat that has been exposed to many people and has been handled well in the early life becomes easy to domesticate.

Parents and siblings, a young cat will always look the same as the mother or one sibling when it grows up. The behavior of a kitten is hence dictated by its siblings and parent's behavior. Before choosing a cat to make that the conduct of the family correspond what you are looking for or expecting in your future cat.

Right age means that the kitten has learned all the necessary behaviors. It also allows it to finish the suckling process and this improves health. Under age cats have unopened eyes and this may make rearing so difficult. Hence ensure that the kitty you choose is old enough to be independent.

Hair length. Is it short, medium or long? The size of the hair determines the rate and amount of shedding. Consider buying one whose color match that of your house furniture to make this process less stressful for you.

Gender, it determines the cost of domestication. For example, you may need a cat that will not expose you to so many costs unless you are pure breeding for commercial purposes. If this is not the case, consider domesticating a male cat to cut off some of these expenses.
