Procedure For Purchasing Australian Labradoodles

By Frank Walker

If you need a dog companion to spend your evening with, then you must be ready to take care of it in every way. As much as these animals are adorable, their well-being is paramount. If you wish to own one, you must, first of all, know the breed you want. Several breeds are available in local breeders as well as the AKC ring shows. Hence, before you go on to pay a pup, you should identify the perfect breed for you. Australian Labradoodles are among the best breeds that you can include in your list. Nevertheless, each breeding facility has its own buying steps that you must follow.

Usually, as the buyer, the first thing that you are supposed to do is identifying the perfect breed for you. Search on the web and read about the various breeds and their temperaments. You can even visit an AKC ring show and make your comparisons. Once you have identified the kind you want, you can proceed to the next step.

After you identify the breed you want, you can now proceed to contact the breeders. Since most breeders tend to be busy with the pups, sending the emails is best preferable. Then, once they see your email, they will respond immediately. Some people may not know any local breeder. Such people are advised to research on the web and check the various options available or ask their friends to give them references.

Include details about what you are looking for in the email you send to the breeders. Make sure you include information about the coat, color, temperament, size, gender and any other specification you may be looking for. There is a non-refundable consultation/reservation fee that you must pay. Usually, this fee is paid by check as most facilities do not prefer payments paid in cash.

However, you must not pay any fees if you have not visited the facility personally. Hence, make an effort of going to the breeding facility and check its condition. If you are convinced, you can start the purchasing process. Each facility tends to have its requirements thus make sure you have asked for the steps to follow from your potential breeder.

Consequently, the breeder will check your application to see if you qualify to own a pet. You will then be informed by email whether you qualify. In case you qualify, you will be officially on the pup waiting list. If you do not qualify, you will be informed about what you are missing or what documents you are required to submit.

When the pups are born, you will be notified by email. You will, however, be allowed to visit the dogs after 6 weeks. This is usually the time when they are inoculated for the first time. This is also the time when you will be allowed to select your pup. You are allowed to spend only about 45 minutes with the 6 weeks old puppies because they are very vulnerable to infections at this stage.

After 8-9 weeks, you are now allowed to pick up your puppy. You must thus complete your final payment. You must then sign a contract with the breeder. This contract indicates that you will bring your puppy back to the facility to be spayed or neutered after 7 months.
