Beware however of imitation brands that come out of Asia, which are just replicas of the real thing but cheaper. More likely than not it will break and there is no way you can get your money back. Always go for good old American or European made items for the materials mentioned in the construction of these accessories are exclusively made in these two continents and nowhere else. Most replicas will not be odor resistant and will be apparent after a few days use.

Many say that waterproof collars are prone to breakage and they may be true up to a point. A lot of dog implements and accessories do break if you buy the wrong size. It is always good to buy the right size collar, not too small and not too large, so that its durability is not affected. Too small a collar will mean it will always remain taut most of the time and thus will break earlier.
