About Large Dogs That Dont Drool

By Matthew Butler

If you have a small apartment, you probably don't consider buying a big dog. The fact is, some people just love big dogs, and, if they can afford them, and have appropriate living conditions, they should go for it. But, not before learning some important things about the breed they are interested in. The things that include shedding and drooling, for instance.

Anyway, there are some other issues to think about before deciding about the breed you are interested in. Some breeds shed excessively, while others might be drooling more than you would expect. Finding large dogs that dont drool, at least not too much, is not an easy task. Even so, here are some breeds that have minimal problems with drooling.

One of the best choices you can make if you are interested in one large dog without drooling problems is choosing Borzoi. This beautiful, big and clever animal is healthier than most other large breeds, and he doesn't even bark too much, and this is another quality to appreciate. Most big dogs will make a real mess when drinking water, but Borzoi is tidy even there.

It's all about lips, really. When dog's lips are close together, there will be less drooling. Instead of Borzoi, you could, for example, choose one Standard Poodle. Hypoallergenic, polite, tidy and clever, this dog is always a very good choice for a pet. If you don't appreciate his elegant looks, you can choose one of really interesting crossbreeds, maybe Labradoodle or Goldendoodle instead.

Old English Sheepdog is lovable, fuzzy and simply adorable dog. This dog will certainly make a nice mess while drinking water, considering all this hair, but so what. He is clever, easy trainable, funny and a great friend for your children. Maintenance might be a little bit more complicated, but he won't be drooling all around your home.

Intimidating and so serious on the first sight, but really nice and friendly, at lest to all family members, Doberman dogs might be a good choice as well. They don't drool, but do need regular exercise to stay healthy and satisfied. They will also be really good guards of your home and your family members, of course, and that's another good quality to consider.

Most really large breeds do not live long, and here you can expect maybe eleven to twelve years of dependable friendship and unconditional love. Make sure to understand that some breeds are prone to certain genetic diseases. This is something you should be aware of before making your final choice. In any case, in case you don't have enough time for daily walks, find someone who will take care of it.

Good quality food is a must, in appropriate amount. You should not overfeed your pet, it's not good for his health. Talking about your dog's health, you should find him a good vet, of course. So, once you choose your favorite breed, go and choose your best friend for life. This wonderful animal will change your life for better and give you an unconditional love. Appreciate your dog.
